Atal Pension Yojana (APY)

APY is a pension scheme focused on citizens in the unorganized sector. It provides a fixed monthly pension based on the contribution amount and the age of joining.

• Guaranteed pension of 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000 or 5,000
• Spouse receives the same pension after the death of the subscriber
• Nominee receives the accumulated corpus after the death of both
• Tax benefits under Section 80CCD

• Any Indian citizen aged between 18 to 40 years
• Must have a savings bank account
• Should not be an income tax payer (as per new rules)

1. Visit your bank or post office where you have a savings account
2. Fill the APY registration form
3. Choose your pension amount and frequency of contribution
4. Ensure enough balance for auto-debit of premiums
5. Online registration via e-APY portal is also available
