The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) aims to enhance livelihood security in rural areas by providing at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment.

• Guaranteed 100 days of work
• Wages paid within 15 days
• Unemployment allowance if work not provided within 15 days
• Creation of durable rural infrastructure

• Adult members of rural households
• Willing to do unskilled manual work
• Must be a resident of the village

• Aadhaar Card
• Bank Account details
• Photograph
• Job Card (issued by Gram Panchayat)

1. Apply for Job Card at local Gram Panchayat office
2. Submit demand for work (verbally or in writing)
3. Work is allocated within 15 days of demand within a 5km radius
