PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM-GKAY)

PM-GKAY is a food security welfare scheme aimed at providing free food grains to the poorest citizens. Initially launched during the pandemic, it has been extended to ensure food security for over 80 crore people.

• 5kg free food grains (Rice/Wheat) per person per month
• Available to all NFSA (Ration Card) holders
• Operated through Fair Price Shops across India

• Holders of Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) ration cards
• Priority Households (PHH) under NFSA

• Ration Card
• Aadhaar Card

1. No separate application needed if you have a valid Ration Card
2. Visit your local Fair Price Shop (PDS) to collect grains
