PM Schools for Rising India (PM-SHRI) is a centrally sponsored scheme for the development of more than 14,500 schools across India to showcase all components of the NEP 2020.

• Modern infrastructure (Smart classrooms, labs)
• Sustainable "Green" schools
• High-quality teaching staff and pedagogical methods
• Emphasis on skill development and vocational training

• Existing government schools (Primary/Secondary)
• Selection based on "Challenge Mode" (performance criteria)

• School code (UDISE+)
• Self-declaration from School Management Committee (SMC)

1. Schools apply via the PM-SHRI online portal during selection rounds
2. State/UT officials verify the school data
3. Final selection by the Ministry of Education based on weightage
