Pudhumai Penn Scheme

Officially known as the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance Scheme, it encourages girls from govt schools to pursue degrees/diplomas.

• ?1,000 per month deposited into the student's bank account
• Available for the entire duration of the course
• Reduces drop-out rates after Class 12

• Girl students who studied in Govt Schools from Class 6 to 12 in TN
• Must be enrolled in a degree/diploma/ITI course

• School Transfer Certificate (TC)
• Aadhaar Card
• Bank Passbook
• College ID/Admission Proof

1. Apply via the Pudhumai Penn portal (pudhumaipenn.tn.gov.in)
2. Verification by the school and college heads
3. Approval by Social Welfare Dept
